Why study English at the Joaquín Turina High School?

A)  Because it is important. English is the means of communication between countries in international business, politics, tourism, computers and most scientific, technological and academic information is written in English. About 329 million people speak it as a First Language, and about 422 million people speak it as a Second Language. (1) That is the reason why it helps students to get better jobs in the future.

B)   Because it is beautiful. English writers, poets, singers, musicians and artists show the power of this language, and students can enjoy learning it.

C)    Because it is fun. English sounds, spellings, false friends, idioms, video games and even mistakes make students laugh and have a good time. 

For all these reasons, study English! Enjoy trying to understand it, and being understood when you speak it.
